This Peter Crouch red card vs Real Madrid cost Tottenham dearly as they were beaten 4-0 by Los Blancos in the first leg of their Champions League. The Crouch red card vs Real came within the first quarter of the CL fixture, meaning that Tottenham had to play over 70 minutes with ten men.
Crouch first picked up a yellow card for a foul on Sergio Ramos and then earned a second yellow for a foul on Marcelo that led to the referee giving him a red card and his marching orders.
This wonderful Angel Di Maria goal vs Tottenham was the highlight of Real Madrid’s 4-0 win over Spurs in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal. The Di Maria goal against Tottenham was the third of the game, and came in the second half after Emmanuel Adebayor’s brace had put Real ahead.
The Di Maria goal vs Spurs was an excellent left footed strike from the Argentine winger, a goal that Spurs keeper Heurelho Gomes could do little to stop.
