I think Newcastle deserved their point. How many times have others been screwed at OT, spurs had a perfectly good goal disallowed scored by Pedro Mendes. Last year Chelsea had a goal awarded against Tottenham that never crossed the line. Didn’t here Ferguson sticking up for Tottenham then – he wont get any sympathy. Nice to see a decision go in favour of the smaller teams for once.
@BMan, I don’t think that Sir Ferguson needs to stick up for tottenham, cos it wasn’t man utd tht was playing. U need to think a lot about the situation here and at that time. In this match (Manu vs. New Castle) the referee was around eight yards from the defender and didn’t awarded them a penalty. As Sir Ferguson said, it might cost Man Utd the league as in the time when Chelsea was awarded an offside goal. Very disappointing this.
