The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 Draw ( 2012 Knockout Stage Draw) was conducted at Nyon, Switzerland today ( December 16, 2011) at 12.00 CET. German legend Paul Breitner conducted the draw.
The Champions League Round of 16 Draw featured eight group winners ( Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Benfica, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal, APOEL, Barcelona) and eight runners up (Napoli, CSKA Moscow, Basel, Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen, Marseille, Zenit St Petersburg, AC Milan) from the group stage.
The rules of the Champions League Round of 16 Draw state that no team can face a team it faced in its group stage as well as a team from it’s own association.

Some very interesting draws. Chelsea and Arsenal have it extreamly tough, and can see a Italian revival this season. Italian football now looks like its coming back out of the darkness. Napoli despite not doing well in the league have a formidibal forward line which is easily capable of putting 3 or 4 past Chelsea. Chelsea meawhile cant seem to close games out or keep clean sheets therefore I predict Napoli 3 – 1 Chelsea and Chelsea 2 – 1 Napoli. Meanwhile I cant see Arsenal being a problem for Milan. AC.Milan, Milan have a far superior squad with World Class players like Nesta, Silva (the best Defender in the World), Boateng, Robinho, Pato and Ibrahimovic (the 3rd best player in the World), Arsenal have only Van Persie who is World Class and hes up against the best CB partnership around, meanwhile Ibra, Pato/Robinho are up against a very weak Arsenal defense. The only problem for Milan are injuries, with Pato, Cassano, Aquilani, Boateng, Gattuso, Flamini, Merkel and Strasser all out. We know for sure Cassano, Aquilani, Gattuso, Flamini, Merkel and Strasser wont make the game but Pato and Boateng should return in time. Even if they dont Milan have enough quality in Nesta, Silva, Abate, Seedorf, Van Bommel, Noccerino, El Shaaway, Inzaghi, Robinho and Ibrahimovic to go through. I predict AC Milan 3 – 0 Arsenal and Arsenal 1 – 2 AC Milan.
