Paolo di Canio Celebration vs Newcastle Sunderland Goal GIF Video PDC Knee Slide April 2013

These Paolo di Canio goal celebrations ( GIF BELOW) showed how much Sunderland’s win over Newcastle United on April 14, 2013 meant to the new Black Cats boss. The Wearsiders beat their local rivals 3-0, marking their first win under their new boss and PDC’s celebrations were passionate to say the least, as these GIF’s will undoubtedly tell you, with the former Swindon boss even doing a Jose Mourinho-esque knee slide after Adam Johnson’s second goal.

  1. Lots of passion, but he needs to reserve it for special occasions only.

The last goal celebration must surely be known as the Di Canio shake ?

  2. Personally, I love this. I’m sick of seeing managers barely blink when their team scores, only to
Have a stroke when their team concedes.

  3. @ Clive, obv know what an occasion it was.

just the point that he shouldn’t do it in every forthcoming game, or it’ll lose its effect

  4. After the abuse he was entitled to have his moment… best player I’ve ever seen in a Wednesday shirt. The fact I like is: ‘He passed his UEFA ‘A’ coaching badge with a record score then took the job at Swindon’ … brains, commitment and passion… wish we had a manager like that!!!

  5. My mum was a sheffield wednesday fan and my dad is a sunderland fan and I am both. Paolo di canio was always a bit of a character at wednesday and I am glad he is back with my supporting team.
