Two cracking goals from yesterday’s league action- Graziano Pelle’s goal vs QPR, and Charlie Austin’s goal v Southampton. Both goals came in the same game- Southampton vs QPR on 27th September, 2014, with Saints beating the R’s 2-1. Unbelievably good goal. Pity for Charlie Austin, even his goal was good, but it was if Graziano Pelle decided he need to produce a response immediately.
Pelle has scored a contender for goal of the season before the end of September! Koeman has made a massive impact already at Southampton and will no doubt get manager of the month. A great enough feat even before you take into account the players that left the Saints in the summer! A fantastic centre back in his day and perhaps a fantastic manager of the future.
