L’Equipe player ratings Atalanta-Valencia 4-1
Hateboer, who scored two goals, was Atalanta’s best player for L’Equipe with a 8/10, the same as Haaland in Dortmund vs PSG. VCF manager Celades was given a 4/10 rating.

AS were disappointed with Valencia’s defending, and chose not to rate several of them!

Fellow Spanish paper Sport gave Atalanta’s Freuler and Gomez a 9/10, and the Italians a team rating of 7.6 as opposed to VCF’s 4.6

Italian newspaper Gazzetta gave Gian Piero Gasperini a manager rating of 8/10, and had Ilicic, who scored Atalanta’s second goal on the evening, as the club’s best player.
Really hope Atalanta are this year’s Ajax. The competition needs more of these sides.
