This KWP red card vs Palace was an excellent example of the use of VAR as his red was downgraded to a yellow following intervention from VAR referee Craig Pawson. On field referee Jon Moss originally ruled that the KWP challenge on Mitchell was worth a sending off, but after checking it again, the dismissal was reduced to a yellow card, and the player was not sent off.

This Gabriel Magalhaes goal vs Fulham saw the young Brazilian defender nutmeg opposition keeper Marek Rodak with a header on 49 minutes. The Gabriel header v Fulham was also his first goal for Arsenal, and it came on his debut for the club. Nice Brazilian connection there, with Willian providing the assist from the corner, and Gabriel nodding it in.
