QPR skipper Barton was sent off by referee Mike Dean for an elbow to Carlos Tevez’s throat. Infuriated by the red card, Barton kneed Sergio Aguero in the back and had further confrontations with Vincent Kompany and Mario Balotelli before leaving the pitch.
