Crotone 2-0 Chievo | First ever Serie A win for Crotone in club’s history

Historic moment for FC Crotone as they registered their FIRST EVER Serie A win yesterday by beating Chievo Verona 2-0. The Pitagorici were winless in their previous ten games this season, but got their act together against the Gialloblu, beating them 2-0 at Stadio Ezio Scida.

Crotone, formed in 1910, are playing in Serie A for the first time in their history in 2016/2017

However the win was not without controversy- Diego Falcinelli and Marcello Trotta were involved in an argument as to who would take the penalty awarded to the home side on the stroke of half time.

Trotta eventually took the penalty and slotted it successfully, with Falcinelli also getting on the scoresheet in second half stoppage time.

Chievo, after a bright start to the season, have fizzled out a bit, and have won only once in their last six games. They will face champions Juventus next week.
