This contentious Micah Richards handball vs Liverpool ( see video below) saw Liverpool being awarded a penalty by referee Phil Dowd in the second leg of their Carling Cup tie on January 25, 2012. Richards’ handball against Liverpool allowed Steven Gerrard to equalise from the spot after Nigel de Jong had put City ahead.
