New Schalke Umbro Shirt Deal- S04 to leave Adidas in 2018-19

Schalke 04 have announced that Umbro will be their new kit partners beginning July 2018 (2018/19 season). That means that the Royal Blues will be parting company with Adidas (who have been outfitting them since 1963). Umbro currently have a kit contract with FC Nuremberg and have also brought on board Werder Bremen, who, like S04, will join them in the 2018/19 season. They also outfit the likes of Everton, West Ham, Hearts and Hull City, amongst others.

S04 were heavily linked with a move to Under Armour, but it looks like Umbro have stolen a march over their rivals by inking a contract with one of Germany’s most popular clubs.

Most Valuable Football Club in Europe 2017 (Manchester United)- List of Top 20 European clubs by value

Manchester United have been named as the most valuable football club in Europe, dethroning erstwhile holders Manchester United. The report, released by consulting giant K P M G, takes into account financial and non-financial information publicly available for the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons, and values United at more than 3 billion euros.

Six of the top ten clubs in the list are from England, with United occupying top spot, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool taking spots 5-8 and Tottenham Hotspur rounding off the top 10. Spain have two representatives in the top ten- Real Madrid and Barcelona, with Atleti coming 13th.

In the top 20, Spurs, Man City, Atleti and Juventus seem to have registered the highest growth rates from last year, as can be seen in the table below. Leicester are new entrants at No.16, displacing Ajax.
