This Nigel de Jong tackle on Darlington Nagbe (VIDEO BELOW) saw the Portland star suffer a nasty looking ankle injury due to De Jong’s horror challenge in the MLS game between the two sides. La Galaxy medio De Jong received only a yellow card for his tackle, while Nagbe, who couldn’t put weight on his left ankle after the challenge, had to be taken off the pitch on a wheelchair. De Jong has a reputation of being a tough player in some circles and this will not help his reputation.
Arsenal will be the MLS All-Stars’ opponents in this year’s annual fixture, the club have announced. The game between the All-Stars and the Gunners will take place on July 28, 2016 at the Avaya Stadium in San Jose (home of MLS outfit San Jose earthquakes). Arsenal will also play Chivas in California three days later (July 31)
