This Doucoure red card v Tottenham was a very controversial moment in the league clash between Everton and them at Goodison Park, with the midfielder’s sending off reducing the hosts to ten men. The Doucoure dismissal against Spurs came because he struck Harry Kane in the face. Some felt Kane made a meal of the foul, but the ref issued a red card to the Everton player. Spurs themselves were reduced to ten men later when substitute Lucas Moura was sent off for a foul on Michael Keane.
