Loris Karius to make competitive Reds debut against Rams

Days after upsetting Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge (with Jordan Henderson scoring one of THE goals of the season), Liverpool will hand summer signing Loris Karius his competitive debut when they take on Derby County in the League Cup tonight.

Karius, a £4.7m summer signing from Mainz, featured in most of Liverpool’s pre-season games, with Simon Mignolet given a break following Euro 2016, but broke his hand against Chelsea and has been out of action since. Tonight marks an opportunity for the young German stopper to present his case to Jurgen Klopp, with the Reds gaffer claiming that there is no No.1 at Anfield- a sign that Mignolet hasn’t made the spot his own yet

Video Wayne Rooney vs Watford 2016- Rooney individual poor performance compilation

England skipper Wayne Rooney was the subject of plenty of criticism from fans and pundits on social media after Manchester United’s 3-1 loss to Watford on Sunday and as this video shows, that was not without reason. A very poor game from Rooney- poor first touches, crosses & passes, and and makes things all the more difficult for Jose Mourinho given that he’s now lost three in a row (for the first time since 2002) and has banished Germany’s World cup winning skipper Bastian Schweinsteiger from the first team squad.

This Miguel Britos tackle on Martial (GIF VIDEO BELOW) was a controversial moment in Watford’s 3-1 win over the Red Devils at Vicarage Road. United fans felt Britos had fouled Martial and Capoue’s opening goal should have been disallowed. Martial, who had also suffered a clash of heads with Janmaat, was replaced shortly after by Ashley Young owing to concussion reasons
