This Marco Verratti tackle on Gomez (GIF VIDEO BELOW) had many Reds fans fuming midway through their European clash against Paris. With the home side leading 1-0, Verratti’s challenge on Gomez could’ve seen them reduced to ten, but referee Marciniak deemed it only worthy of a yellow at that time. Pundits, including former Reds legend John Arne Riise, thought Verratti should have been sent off.
