Here are the player ratings from the big European newspapers after Bayern Munich beat Frank Lampard’s Chelsea 3-0 in the first leg of their Round of 16 Champions League tie in front of a 36,761 crowd at Stamford Bridge. All three goals came in the second half- two from Serge Gnabry and one from Robert Lewandowski.

French newspaper L’Equipe gave Kovacic a 6/10, the highest of any Chelsea player, but the rest were dire. 3/10 ratings were given to the troika of Jorginho, Reece James and Ross Barkley, with several of their defenders and Willy Caballero in goal getting a 4.
Frank Lampard was given a manager rating of 3/10 while his opposite number Hansi Flick was given a 8/10.
