Timo Werner scores his first league goals for Chelsea, but poor defending, such as this Kepa Zouma mixup for the Adams goal, costs the Blues as they drop points against Southampton.
This Che Adams goal v Chelsea saw some atrocious defending from Chelsea as a mix up between Kurt Zouma and Kepa Arrizabalaga effectively gifted Saints’ their second of the afternoon. A bad backpass from Zouma, and a howler from Kepa, and Saints capitalise
These Timo Werner goals vs Southampton saw the German two fine individual efforts and notch up his first league goal for Chelsea. The first Werner goal v Saints came in the 15th minute- a very nice dummy in the build-up from the striker as well, followed by a quality finish. The second Werner goal v Southampton came in the 28th minute- another gorgeous effort, with a chip and header
