This George Moncur free kick v Fleetwood (GIF VIDEO BELOW) was a fantastic strike from the Luton midfielder in their clash against FTFC over the weekend. Moncur’s goal against Fleetwood put Luton ahead- they eventually went on to win 2-1 and extended their unbeaten run to 20 games.

Kelechi Iheanacho’s goal vs Fleetwood Town meant that the 21 year old became the first player to score a VAR given goal in England, achieving this feat on 16 January, 2018 in Leicester City’s FA Cup replay against FTFC at the King Power Stadium. More interesting though is the fact that Iheanacho is ALSO the first 4th substitute ever in English football- he was brought on in extra time for Raheem Sterling during Man City’s FA Cup semifinal against Arsenal in April 2017 (the 2016/17 season)
A nice bit of trivia for the Nigerian then- he’s the first 4th substitute and also the scorer of the first VAR goal
