New Olympique Marseille 2009 shirts- home and away

French giants Olympique Marseille (OM) have unveiled their new home and away shirts for the 2009-10 season.

The new OM kits are manufactured by Adidas. They celebrate the 110th anniversary of the club that was founded in 1899.

The home jersey is white with vertical blue pinstripes. You also have blue adorning the V shaped collar, the shoulders ( Three stripes representing Adidas), and the end of the sleeves. The Adidas Logo, the OM crest and logo of sponsors Direct Energie complete the home shirt. The colors of the French tricolor are on the collar.

The away shirt is basically blue, but with some interesting innovations. The Adidas and OM logos are in black, with the three stripes representing Adidas also in the same colour ( on the shoulders).

New VfB Stuttgart 2009-10 Home Shirt

Here is a photo of the new VFB Stuttgart 2009-10 Home Jersey. Stuttgart finished third in the 2008-09 Bundesliga, and were in the running for the title until the last day of the season. They scripted a remarkable second half turn around under new boss Markus Babbel, and will be hoping to challenge for the title next season.

The new VFB Stuttgart 2009-10 Home Shirt is manufactured by Puma. It is primarily a white top, with red stripes running down from the shoulder to the centre of the shirt. You can see the Stuttgart crest on one side, and the Puma logo on the other. There is a big horizontal red stripe in the centre that carries the logo of the club’s sponsors- ENBW (Energie Baden-Württemberg AG)

Italian squad for Confederations Cup 2009

The Italy squad for the 2009 Confederations Cup has been announced by coach Marcelo Lippi. Lippi announced the squad alongside the one to be playing Northern Ireland. 13 players are guaranteed to be on the plane to South Africa, while the remaining 10 will be chosen from players representing the Azzurri in the friendly against Northern Ireland.

One notable absentee is Antonio Cassano.
