Final list of teams promoted to the Premier League 11/12 from the Championship– Updated 30/5/11

Queens Park Rangers (1st – automatic promotion)
Norwich City (2nd- automatic promotion)
Swansea City ( Playoff winners)

This is the list of teams promoted to the Premier League 2011/12 ( 11/12) season from the 10/11 NPower Championship season.

The teams promoted to the Premiership come up in two ways:- the two teams which finish first and second directly get promoted to the Premier League, while teams finishing third-sixth compete in a playoff system to determine the third promoted team.

Surprisingly enough, none of the three teams who were relegated from the Premier League in the 09/10 season- Burnley, Hull and Pompey, made it back from the Championship.
