Arsenal and Chelsea were both awarded tough draws in the Champions League Round of 16 Draw conducted on December 16, 2011. The Gunners and the Blues, both winners of their respective groups, were both paired against Italian outfits in the form of AC Milan and Napoli, arguably the two toughest runners up from the group stages.
The first legs of both the Arsenal v Milan and Chelsea v Napoli ties will be played in Italy in February 2012, with the return legs taking place in March 2012. However both Arsenal and Chelsea will play the return legs at home- an advantage for the London outfits.
This is the first meeting between Chelsea and Napoli in the Champions League, while Arsenal eliminated Milan at this stage of the 2007-08 season.
