New Manchester United Gingham Kit 2012-13- Nike Man Utd Home Jersey 2012-2013

See Man Utd Away Kit 2012/2013 here- released 20 July

Premier League giants Manchester United will be wearing a gingham kit for the 2012/13 season, as per the official kit revealing by the club on 11 May, 2012. United’s new 2012/13 gingham shirt was revealed in phases by Nike and we had put up pictures of those teasers as well as a leaked photo of what the full shirt had been expected to look like prior to the official release. Man Utd’s new gingham top hasn’t been universally popular with fans, with many labelling it a “tea towel” design by Nike.

Nike have already released Arsenal’s new 2012/2013 home kit that also drew mixed reaction for its hooped sleeve design.

The new gingham kit is a tribute to the mills of Manchester, which started producing gingham in the 18th century.

Here are some pictures of Man U’s new 2012/13 home strip, which sees a gingham inspired top paired with white shorts and black socks. The GK jersey is green in colour.

More released Premier League 2012/13 kits can be seen in our football shirts section.

  1. @kayul its not copying man city, they designed this gingham kit to pay tribute to Sir Alex Ferguson for managing man utd for 25 YEARS! IMAGINE how long is that.

  2. This shirt is cool. I thought ‘table cloth’ at the start but actually looks quite cool. The History behind it is also cool. The Liverpool shirt just resembles that in History they have been an ok club, and once again they are dwelling on the past.

  3. pretty good kit. come on guys, dont just judge the jersey like that. it look so much better when you wears it.

  4. OH CHRIST ALMIGHTY ! LOL “Pinky…… ALEX…… Have you lost a pair of tartan Y-Fronts?”

  5. This kit is weird! It’s not tear dropping disgraceful but it’s quite horrendous if you take away the fact that it’s Manchester United’s! I despise Loserfools as much as the red runs in my blood, but looking at their new kit, I regrettably say I a..admhhh….ADMIRE IT! THERE! It’s the closest thing to class Scouse have had for the past two decades! Don’t know why Nike can’t see the beauty in simplicity and elegance! Always have to give the head design duties to some crack-head fashion design wash out!

  6. i jus see a bunch of jobless asses commenting on something which is not gonna make a big difference right now. all that matters is the title . whether this kit or something else.

  7. After looking at it i think its very good but it will take time for people to get used to it..I think the history it carries is very good Love the Writing on the back inside Made For Manchester Forged In Industry, Striving For Glory…Doesn’t define next season better…Was a bit critical of it at the start but i think it looks good just have to get used to IT!!!

  8. I’m pretty sure who is commenting our jersey as a tablecloth are either man utd haters or they never buy jerseys.. As a Red Devils fan I’ve already ordered one. Man Utd for life. fck you all haters

  9. we are the red devils we will wear this jersey and come out with success next year.Glory Glory Manchester United

  10. Either the people who comment disliking the shirt or either Man U haters or just glkory supporters or they just don’t care. As a Red devils fan I have already ordered the shirt. I dont care about the look of the strip. I’m showing I support my team. If you are a red devil to you shouldn’t care about the look and just show ur support

  11. What the f**k is that, I think they should remake the 2009-10 kit, wasn’t that one AWSOME with “V” thing on the chest and stuff

  12. This kit is to honour the mill workers of Manchester..this kit is all about representing the true roots of Manchester…and to proclaim the history of Manchester united!
City can’t do this..they have no history.
This looks like tablecloth? And where does table cloth belong? TOP OF THE TABLE!
    United till I Die!

  13. Manchester United have sold their souls for Nike dollars.

Until this year, they wore RED.

    Now they were gingham.

All true football fans know this: Manchester United have sold their souls for Nike $.

    This is disgusting.

  18. i wonder how many of you abusing will rember their comments wen we win the trophy nxt c zon

  19. It’s not so bad, i’ve seen worse for utd but at the end of the day it’s a football kit – it serves a purpose and most people (if not all fans) will still pay a small fortune for it…
