This Demba Ba goal vs Southampton ( VIDEO BELOW) was the Senegalese striker’s first in Chelsea colours since his switch from Newcastle. Ba made his Chelsea debut against Saints and repaid Rafa Benitez’s faith in him with this goal on 35 minutes.
Nothing extraordinary from Ba, he just applied the final touches to Juan Mata’s effort on goal, but more significantly for Chelsea fans, he took 35 minutes to get his first goal, in comparison to the significantly longer time it took for Fernando Torres.
