After 15 games in the Premier League this season, Leicester are top of the table, while defending champions Chelsea are languishing in mid table mediocrity in fourteenth place. It’s almost as if we’re seeing a real life Space Jam situation play out, with someone having taken the Blues’ all conquering powers and given them to the Foxes!

At this stage of the league last season, Chelsea were 26 points ahead of the Foxes. This season, they are 17 points behind. There’s even been talk of the Blues being relegated from the top flight. Preposterous as that may have sounded at the beginning of the season, it’s a real possibility now. And equally possible is the notion that little Leicester may win the league ahead of their more fancied rivals.

CL Round of 16- Gent make history, Roma qualify with just 6 points & goal difference of -5

The last sixteen of the Champions League have been determined and Belgian side KAA Gent have created history by qualifying for the knockout stages. Gent qualified ahead of Valencia and Lyon to join Russian outfit Zenit in the last sixteen.

Roma could consider themselves lucky, qualifying for the last 16 despite picking up just one win, conceding 16 goals and having a goal difference of minus 5.

Arsenal continued their great record for qualifying for the last 16 ever since the current format was introduced- they’ve done it for 13 straight seasons now.
