This Simone Zaza penalty miss vs Germany (GIF VIDEO BELOW) was the subject of plenty of internet memes after Italy’s Euro 2016 quarterfinal loss to Joachim Low’s side in Bordeaux. Zaza was brought on in the 120th minute for Chiellini (just before the shootout) as a specialist penalty taker. He had an awkward run-up that seemed to take an eternity and then skied his effort wide.
