This Vladimir Coufal challenge on Ronaldo was a controversial incident, with several United fans feeling that there was a foul on Ronaldo by Coufal and it warranted a penalty for Manchester United. Coufal did appear to stick his leg out and there appeared to be contact between Coufal and Cristiano, but VAR upheld the on-field referee’s decision and chose not to award a penalty

West Ham did get a spot kick of their own late in the game, but Noble missed his penalty after being brought on specifically to take it.
