England’s World Cup hopes are extinguished as a diligent French side first grab a late equaliser to push the quarterfinal game into extra time and then win 4-3 in the shootout.
This last gasp Julio Gomez goal vs Germany gave Mexico U17 a stunning 3-2 win over the Germans in the FIFA U-17 (Sub 17) World Cup Semifinal contested between the two sides. Gomez’s goal (A bicycle kick) came after he had suffered a head injury in Jorge Espericueta’s direct goal from a corner kick.
