This has to be the miss of 2010, if not the miss of the century.
Qatar striker Fahad Khalfan has the easiest tasks to complete, but somehow, inexplicably, hits the post instead of slotting into an empty goal from point blank range. Qatar were playing Uzbekistan in the 2010 Asian Games. Even worse for Khalfan, Qatar would have definitely won the game had he scored ( his chance was in the dying seconds of the game)

Here is a video of Cristiano Ronaldo’s stunning scooped goal in Portugal 4-0’s win over Spain that was disallowed for offside.
Ronaldo cleverly turned inside Barcelona’s Gerard Pique before scooping the ball over Iker Casillas ( see video). However as the ball was on its way in, Nani came in from an offside position to head it in, and the goal was disallowed for offside.

England 1-2 France ( Peter Crouch/ Karim Benzema, Mathieu Valbuena)
A new look English side was comfortably beaten by Laurent Blanc’s France at the Wembley Stadium on November 17, 2010.
Goals in either half from Karim Benzema and Mathieu Valbuena were a just reward for France’s domination but England managed to pull one back late in the game through Peter Crouch.
