New Chelsea FC Away Kit 2009-10 season

We’ve already seen the 2009-10 season CFC Home Shirt. Now the Blues have unveiled their new away kit which will be worn for the first time in a pre season game against AC Milan on July 24.

The new CFC away strip will be officially launched on July 23. It is manufactured by Adidas. The shirt has dark navy and new navy as its two main colours, with the Adidas stripes in a neon yellow colour. It has been made using Adidas’ Climacool technology.

New Manchester United Home Kit 2009-10

Premier League champions Manchester United have officially unveiled photos of their new home kit for the 2009-10 season.

The new shirt, manufactured by Nike, celebrates the 100th year of Manchester United’s home ground, Old Trafford. The stadium was opened in the 1909-10 season.

The shirt is primarily red, with a large chevron across the chest. The jersey, made of Nike’s Dri-Fit fabric, is accompanied by white shorts with a red stripe along the side.

It will go on general sale in July, and will be first worn by United in their preseason tour of Asia.

Newcastle to meet FC Utrecht in pre season friendly

Newcastle United have confirmed that they will meet Eredivisie side FC Utrecht in a preseason friendly on July 26.

The Magpies will start their preseason campaign against Irish side Shamrock Rovers on July 11. Darlington (July 18) and Huddersfield Town (July 21) away are their next two fixtures, following which they will make the trip to Holland to face Utrecht. Three days later on July 29, they will host Leeds United, and will finish their preseason engagements with a trip to Tannadice to play SPL side Dundee United.

The game between Newcastle and FC Utrecht will be held at Stadion Galgenwaard.

On the same day as the Newcastle-Utrecht game, there will be a game between England and Germany to raise money for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. This game will be played at 6.15 local time, while the Utrecht-Newcastle game is at 2.30 Dutch time. Many players of the 1990 World Cup squad, which Sir Bobby managed, will be playing in this friendly-Gazza, Peter Shilton, Paul Parker, Steve Hodge, Peter Beardsley and Des Walker. England lost to eventual champions West Germany in the semifinals of the tournament.
