The 2018/19 season has been a very disappointing one for Polish clubs in Europe. No club has managed to make it to the group stage of their respective competition, with all clubs knocked out of Europe altogether by mid August 2018. Four clubs qualified for European competition from the 17/18 Ekstraklasa- Legia Warsaw (CL) and Jagiellonia Bialystok, Lech Poznan and Gornik Zabrze (Europa League). Legia’s performance in particular was very disappointing, especially given the teams they were beaten by.
