A second half penalty from Dirk Kuyt gave Liverpool a 2-2 draw against local rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby on January 16, 2011. The draw brought an end to the two defeats Liverpool started with under Kenny Dalglish’s reign.
This Fernando Torres goal vs Blackpool in January 2011 gave Liverpool the lead against the Tangerines, but the Reds eventually slumped to a 2-1 defeat. This goal was also the first Liverpool goal under Kenny Dalglish in the Premiership.
