France are through to the semifinals of the World Cup as Fernando Muslera’s mistake costs Uruguay. Second Man of the Match Award in this WC for Griezmann.
This Muslera mistake v France was a bad howler from the Uruguayan keeper that allowed France to go 2-0 up in their quarterfinal against Oscar Tabarez’s men on 6 July, 2018. Muslera’s mistake came from Griezmann’s shot, and led the former to be compared to the likes of Lorius Karius. Griezmann however did not celebrate the goal.
