Edit– today (January 9, 2018) marks the sixth anniversary of this marvellous goal.
This Thierry Henry goal vs Leeds ( see video below) saw the French striker net on his second debut for the Gunners in their FA Cup match against the Whites on 9th January 2012. Henry’s goal v Leeds also gave Arsenal the lead in the third round FA Cup game.
Henry’s goal against Leeds came in the 78th minute and was assisted by Alex Song. Arsenal won the game 1-0.

He is offside when the pass is played. The last Leeds defender was left back White at the other side of the area and Henry sets off a split second too soon. Strange decisions tonight for both teams. Bring in the Video ref and make it an honest game….. oh no, that couldn’t happen – Handball Henry was playing!! At least it saved him having to punch one in from a corner. Forever tarnished, you Gooners should be ashamed.
Watching the video again. I think Henry is just off side. But who cares (maybe Leeds fans!). I am not an Arsenal fan but I am glad that we have that goal. It is what makes soccer so appealing!
