Video & Photos- 13 year old Karamoko Dembele makes Celtic U20 debut v Hearts 2016

There’s another Dembele on the scene, and this one looks pretty special too. 13 year old Karamoko made his debut for Celtic’s development squad (U20/reserves) against Hearts. He came on to the pitch in place of 16 year old Jack Aitchison- the latter himself is Celtic’s youngest ever scorer!

Check out the reaction of the assistant referee (appears to be quite a young lad himself) when Karamoko is subbed on!

Also the embedded video of his skills is pretty good to watch- in particular the passes at 0:58 and 1:31. And looking at his height and pics, the kid does look 13- so no age deception here!

England U17 just put eight goals past Germany U17 in a four nations tournament in Croatia earlier today. It completes an impressive tournament for the young Lions, who beat Croatia 5-0 and Greece 3-0 in previous games in the 2016 Croatia Cup. Against Germany, young Manchester United teenager Angel Gomes, the cousin of former United star Nani, scored a goal and had two assists. Gomes also captained the squad.

The score against the Germans was 6-1 in favour of England at half time!

That effectively means a haul of 16 goals and one conceded in the tournament for this U17 team. Will we see the return of the Jules Rimet Trophy to English shores back in 2022 or 2026?
