TP Mazembe were unable to repeat their giantkilling act in the final of the 2010 Club World Cup as they went down 0-3 to Inter Milan in the finals.
Early goals from Goran Pandev and Samuel Eto’o and a late effort from Jonathan Biabany ensured Inter left Dubai as world champions.
Blackburn 1-1 West Ham ( Ryan Nelsen, Junior Stanislas)
In only one of two Premiership fixtures on December 18, 2010, Blackburn Rovers drew 1-1 with relegation threatened West Ham United at Upton Park. New Zealand skipper Ryan Nelsen opened the scoring in the 51st minute, only for Junior Stanislas to snatch a late equaliser for West Ham.
Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 Dortmund ( Theofanis Gekas 87′)
Borussia Dortmund suffered only their second league defeat in the 10/11 season as they lost 1-0 at Frankfurt. The winning goal of the game came in the 87th minute from Greek striker Theofanis Gekas.
The 1-0 win for Frankfurt over Dortmund continued Michael Skibbe’s excellent record as coach against Dortmund
