Italian squad for Confederations Cup 2009

The Italy squad for the 2009 Confederations Cup has been announced by coach Marcelo Lippi. Lippi announced the squad alongside the one to be playing Northern Ireland. 13 players are guaranteed to be on the plane to South Africa, while the remaining 10 will be chosen from players representing the Azzurri in the friendly against Northern Ireland.

One notable absentee is Antonio Cassano.

Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus), Marco Amelia (Palermo)

Defenders:- Fabio Cannavaro (Real Madrid), Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus), Gianluca Zambrotta (Milan)

Midfielders: Mauro Camoranesi (Juventus), Daniele De Rossi (Roma), Pepe (Udinese), Andrea Pirlo Pirlo (Milan)

Strikers: Alberto Gilardino (Fiorentina), Vincenzo Iaquinta (Juventus), Fabio Quagliarella (Udinese), Luca Toni (Bayern Munich)

Remaining 10 to be chosen out of :-

Goalkeepers: De Sanctis (Galatasaray), Marchetti (Cagliari)

New Hibs shirts 2009-10- Home and Away

Scottish Premier League side Hibernian have unveiled their new 2009-10 Home and away shirts.

The new Hibs kits have been manufactured by Le Coq Sportif.

The home shirt is a green and white outfit. The club crest is in the centre of the shirt, with the logo of sponsors McEwan Fraser below it. The Le Coq Sportif logo is also present on the shirt.

The away jersey is an all white strip with emerald and dark green flashes and trim.

Secondary backers F&C Investments have their logo on the shorts, and green socks complete the outfit. Check out the photos of the new Hibs shirts.
