This Salford City vs Portsmouth penalty shootout (VIDEO BELOW) saw the former beat Pompey 4-2 on penalties in the delayed version of the 2020 Papa John’s Trophy final earlier today. Ryan Williams and Ronan Curtis missed their penalties for Portsmouth (Hladky with a brilliant save for the latter) while Salford scored all four of theirs. Salford will however hold the trophy for less than 24 hours- this was the 2020 edition of the tournament, and the 2021 one will be played tomorrow.
