The group stages for the Champions League 2014/15 season was done today (August 28th, 2014), and Liverpool’s return to Europe has seen them land a fairly decent draw with Real Madrid, Basel and Ludogorets. Ludogorets, of course, had a defender save two penalties in the shootout to qualify for the knockout stages.
Chelsea probably have the easiest draw among English teams, drawn with Schalke, Sporting and Maribor.
Man City face a tricky group, with Bayern and Roma also with them.
This Nathaniel Clyne goal vs Liverpool (VIDEO GIF BELOW) was a nicely worked goal from Southampton, their first of the new league season in their fixture against Liverpool on 16th August, 2014. Clyne’s goal against Liverpool saw a good finish from the Saints man into the top corner of Mignolet’s net, but was set up by a sumptous backheel assist from Dusan Tadic
