Man City vs Everton preview

Man City can take fourth place from Tottenham Hotspur if they beat David Moyes’ Everton tonight (24th March 2010- 19.45 UK time) at Eastlands in the Premier League. City are two points behind Spurs in the league table, but the London outfit have played a game extra and will be seen in action in the FA Cup tonight against local rivals Fulham.

Emmanuel Adebayor is suspended for City while Joleon Lescott has joined fellow defender Wayne Bridge on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. City boss Roberto Mancini is therefore likely to persist with Javier Garrido on the left side of defence and Kolo Toure and Vincent Kompany in the centre.

City emerged 2-1 victors at Craven Cottage on Sunday while Everton beat Bolton Wanderers 2-0 in their weekend game.

Manchester City have announced the sacking of Mark Hughes as manager. The decision was reportedly taken by the club’s chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak after a disappointing recent run for City that forced the club’s owners to rethink their long term plans. Bolton Wanderers 3-3 Manchester City

One of two Premier League games to end in a 3-3, along with the game between Chelsea and Everton. Like that game, this one was also 2-2 at half time. Craig Bellamy was sent off by referee Mark Clattenburg, while Ivan Klasnic and Carlos Tevez scored two apiece for their respective sides.
