This Callum McManaman challenge on Massadio Haidara ( GIF BELOW) was a serious talking point in the Wigan vs Newcastle United game on March 17, 2013. McManaman’s horror challenge on Haidara brought back memories of the Roy Keane Alf Inge Haaland episode to the minds of some and saw the Magpies player stretchered off the field and replaced by James Perch. McManaman was not carded ( neither red nor yellow) by referee Mark Halsey for the tackle and NUFC assistant manager John Carver was sent to the stands following a furious altercation
