This horrible Alex Schalk dive v Celtic (GIF VIDEO BELOW) saw referee Don Robertson award a controversial penalty in the dying moments of Ross County’s clash against the Hoops on 16 April, 2017. Liam Boyce converted the penalty which saw the Dingwall outfit earn a crucial point in their quest for survival.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers (ex Liverpool) was unhappy with the decision, and looking at the video below, you’d say probably rightfully so, and agreed by Jim McIntyre after the game. Terrible dive from Schalk and Celtic skipper Scott Brown, frustrated with it, went on to make an unnecessary challenge on Boyce which ruled him out of next week’s Cup semi against Old Firm rivals Rangers.
