A game full of excitement. Gareth Bale suffered a serious looking injury after a foul by Charlie Adam. Spurs captain Michael Dawson conceded a penalty, only for keeper Heurelho Gomes to save it and then turn villain by conceding another penalty in the next 40 odd seconds. Adams converted the second spotkick after missing the initial one and then Defoe lashed in a stunner from 30 yards out to draw the game at 1-1.
