Perhaps a slightly ill timed tweet this one from West Ham vice chairman Karren Brady, who reminded her followers about her new show “Give It a Year” on ITV. The unfortunate problem- the show was at the same time as the West Ham-Stoke fixture, effectively a six pointer game for the Hammers, and it didn’t go down well with many West Ham fans, who are already disillusioned with the board and the way their club is being run.
One could obviously argue that Brady’s followers could include people other than West Ham fans, but at such a key time of the season, this PR faux pas will not endear her any more to the club’s supporters.
