Referee Willie Collum sends off three players for Dundee United as they are convincingly beaten 4-0 by Rangers at Tannadice in the SPL. Mihael Kovacevic, Sean Dillon and Morgaro Gomis were all red carded for Dundee Utd in this 4-0 loss for Peter Houston’s side. Steven Whittaker scored two penalties for Rangers, but missed the third.
The nominations for the Scottish PFA Player of the Year 2011 Award have been announced. The PFA Player of the Year Award for 2010 was won by Rangers midfielder Steven Davis. This years’ SPFA Player of the Year nominations has two Celtic players, one Kilmarnock player and one Rangers player.
The Celtic duo are Gary Hooper and Emilio Izaguirre while the player from Kilmarnock, as expected by many, is playmaker Alexei Eremenko Jr. Rangers midfielder Steven Naismith completes the list of nominations for the SPFA Player of the Year 2011. Hooper is also in the running to win Young Player of the Year for 2011.
