Hamilton Academical have signed former Gretna striker Kenny Deuchar till the end of the season.
Deuchar, popularly known as Dr.Goals, recently left MLS side Real Salt Lake. He had joined the MLS club in February 2008, and scored three goals in 29 appearances for them.
Hamilton had made two unsuccessful attempts to sign Deuchar last year.
West Ham United are set to bid £10m for Brescia’s 19 year old German striker Savio Nsereko. Ugandan born Nsereko was part of the German squad that won the 2008 U-19 European Championship, and was also voted the best player of the tournament. He currently plays in Serie B, but is very highly rated by West Ham’s technical director Gianluca Nani, who was at Brescia prior to moving to Upton Park.
If the deal does go through, Nsereko will become West Ham’s most expensive signing ever, beating the £7.5m the club paid for buying Craig Bellamy for Liverpool. Bellamy left for Man City yesterday, with the Eastlands club paying £14m to the Hammers for his signature.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle have parted company with manager Craig Brewster this morning. Brewster and his assistant Malcolm Thompson were sacked following Inverness’ 1-0 defeat to Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday.

This was Brewster’s second spell with Caley Thistle. He had earlier managed them between 2004 and 2006 before joining Dundee United.
