The only teams to defeat Liverpool in the Champions League in the 21/22 season were Inter Milan and Real Madrid. Inter won the second leg of their Round of 16 tie 1-0 at Anfield (Liverpool had won the first leg 2-0 and thus progressed 2-1 on aggregate), while Real prevailed 1-0 in the final.
Inter were also the only team to beat Liverpool at Anfield (across all competitions) in the 2021/22 season.
