Christian Eriksen missed a penalty for Denmark, who still managed to win 1-0 thanks to a goal from substitute Rasmus Hojlund.

Most of the Danish players got two stars, but a notable exception was Man United veteran Eriksen, whose missed spot kick ensured he finished with a single star, the lowest rating among the Danish starters.

Here is a look at the player ratings from some of the big Spanish sports newspapers following the country’s 2-2 draw against the Netherlands in the first leg of their Nations League quarterfinal.

Spain managed to come away with a draw thanks to a stoppage time equaliser from Arsenal’s Mikel Merino.

AS thought Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella didn’t deserve a rating for his performance.

Mikel Merino, a late replacement off the bench (replacing Fabian Ruiz) got 2 stars for his impressive cameo that also produced La Furia Roja’s late equaliser.

Nobody in the Spain starting lineup got more than 2 stars, but on the Netherlands side, Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo was one of two players to get 3 stars. His Liverpool team mate, Virgil van Dijk, however got only a single star.

Arsenal vs PSV 2-2 European Newspaper Player Ratings 2025 UCL Round of 16 Second Leg

Here is a look at how some of the big European sports newspapers rated both Arsenal and PSV Eindhoven’s players following the second leg of their Round of 16 Champions League match at the Emirates Stadium (Attendance 59,410). Arsenal took the lead twice, but PSV equalised both times as the game ended in a 2-2 draw, with the Gunners progressing 9-3 on aggregate thanks to their 7-1 win last week.

Arsenal’s next game is against Chelsea at the Emirates.

L’Equipe player ratings Arsenal vs PSV 2-2 Champions League 2025

French newspaper L’Equipe thought the two teams were pretty evenly matched on the day, giving both of them the same team rating. They weren’t very impressed with the performances of Tierney and Merino though- the duo got a 4/10 rating, the lowest among the starting Arsenal players.

On the PSV side, LB Tyrell Malacia (on loan from Manchester United), also got a 4/10, as did midfielder Schouten.
