Premier League Team of the Week GW2 (2024/25)- Media Outlet roundup for TOTW

At the end of Game Week 2, four teams remain unbeaten in the new 24/25 Premier League season- defending champions Man City, Brighton, Arsenal and Liverpool. Of these four, Arsenal and Liverpool are yet to concede a goal. The Gunners and LFC both won by identical 2-0 margins over the weekend, but the nature of those victories- they didn’t really dominate or stand out, meant that the two teams didn’t have any representative in the official BBC and PL TOTW.

Here is a look at how different media pundits (Troy Deeney for the BBC, Alan Shearer for the official PL and Gabriel Agbonlahor for TS) had their Team of the Week after Round 1 of the 24/25 season.

Only two of the 10 games in Week 1 (Forest v Bournemouth and Leicester v Spurs) ended in draws.

The biggest margin of victory came from Brighton, who beat Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park. Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd and Aston Villa all got off to winning starts, as did defending champions Man City, who got the better of Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea 2-0.
