On the eve of the French 2019/20 season kicking off, here is a nice little infographic from the local papers that details the 10 biggest budgets in Ligue 1.
Who has the biggest budget in Ligue 1 ?
Not surprisingly, it is Paris Saint-Germain, with a whopping 530 million euros. The next biggest is Olympique Lyonnais with 310 million euros.
Monaco’s budget, at 220 million euros, is the third biggest, while Lille are surprise packages in fourth with 120 million euros. Marseille come 5th with 110 million euros, while Saint-Etienne are in 6th with 70 million euros.
Paris Saint-Germain won yet another French SuperCup (Trophee des Champions) as they beat Stade Rennais 2-1 in front of a 22,045 strong crowd in China. However it wasn’t easy for Paris SG, who needed Angel di Maria to come off the bench and score a free kick to edge SRFC.
Here are the player ratings for the game across the world media.
Marquinhos and Mbappe were among the better players for PSG, while their defence, Thomas Meunier in particular, did not cover themselves in glory.
