Blackburn winger David Bentley has signed a new contract with the club. The contract ensures that the former Arsenal player will stay at Ewood Park till the summer of 2011.
The Lancashire club signed Bentley from Arsenal on the last day of the 2006 January transfer window. He also had an earlier loan spell at the club.

Fulham 1-2 Manchester United ( Brian McBride/ Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo)
Fulham played out of their skins but Edwin Van Der Sar pulled off some brilliant saves- especially the Davies and Radzinski shots. Radzinski had a header cannon back off the crossbar as United lived dangerously, but Ronaldo’s superb individual effort after running with the ball from the half way line and bringing it into the Fulham box sealed 3 hard earned points for Fergie’s boys.

Arminia Bielefeld coach Thomas Van Heesen has left the North Rhine Westphalia based club. Von Heesen who was due to leave at the end of the season, said that he had reached an agreement with the club to terminate his contract.Bielefeld lost to Bayern Munchen 1-0 on Sunday, a game which marked the home debut of new Bayern coach Ottomar Hitzfeld. Hitzfeld, who replaced Magath, is in his second stint with the Bavarian giants.
Von Heesen has been linked with many clubs in the German media, including Hamburger SV, the same club where he plied his trade as a player for 14 years. He made 340 appearances for the Urgestein as a midfielder and scored 99 goals for them.

Chelsea vs Charlton Premiership review

It was a battle between a team second from bottom and a team second from the top.One had scored 44 goals while the other had shipped in the same amount. The pre match statistics suggested that the match could go only one way- Chelsea’s. And that is eventually ended– 1-0 to Chelsea. Charlton showed plenty of fighting spirit- especially in the second half.
